5 MakeUp Organizers That Are Already In Your House

I seriously need help with how to organize my cosmetics.  I looked to my makeup holders and my existing beauty products drawer situation.   I didn’t want to buy a caddy to hold all of my make up so I adjusted my “glasses.”

I stared at my drawer for 3 seconds and thought, “Why am I using this narrow drawer for my makeup?”  A wider drawer is RIGHT BESIDE the narrow one.  Wider drawer equals more organized eyeshadows, powders, and other essentials for skin care.  But I know wider, for me, means more room to spread everything around with no rhyme or reason.How-to-Organize-Makeup-Drawer-Holders-Caddy-Beauty-Products.001

When you put your Creative MakeUp Organizing spectacles on, you see your ordinary items in a whole NEW way.  Pantry Containers I now see as Makeup Holders: Makeup - bag.001

Fit

I have been in this house two years, bought these containers on Amazon just to get everything in a place and am now rethinking that plot.  I tried both containers side by side, and they just don’t fit.makeup-messy-organized

No idea why I gave fingernail polishes a home in the wide drawer! organize cosmetics holder makeup vanity repurpose

  1. Switch drawers.
  2. What containers will puzzle together for maximum storage?
  3. Which containers are free in my house?
  4. Spray paint for a uniformed look.

See how perfect these shapes are?  We can puzzle piece them together for cosmetic storage, uniform look and fit all for one super low cost!  I spray painted them all and love them! PIC_0478

I also spray painted my yogurt container and wrapped it with washi tape from my Happy Planner videos. Look what fits perfectly in them! holder-how-to-organize-makeup-holder-qtips

I truly love the containers I bought and have used for two years!  I will continue to use the more narrow one to hold just the cosmetics that I use the most often.  It’s super sturdy and clear and clean looking.  The wider one will continue to hold my fingernail polishes.  In the video above you can see the beveled floor of these containers.  I would venture to say that they are unbreakable!

So I put my blush, Milani Eye Palette, Japonesque Matte Palette, Bronzer, brow gel, and blue eyeshadow in the narrow container.  five-makeup-organizers-already-in-your-home-holder-cosmetics

My cracker box holds my highlighter, vaseline, powder and hair holders.  I love the look of this.  Even more is my love for function!  I did this for such a low cost!  Yay DIY!  Yay me!

POPsocket and Fidget Spinner, Coconut Oil, and a Smart Strapless Dress Hack

I’m going to review Coconut Oil – I’m obsessed!  You will see an easy clothing hack for strapless dresses or see through dresses.  I will share my favorite eyeshadow accent Crystal Waters by Cover Girl.  You will love this new iPhone gadget – the PopSocket.  The pop socket is a 2017 accessory for iPhone 6, iPhone 5, iPhone 7 for kids and teens that gives your phone a grip.  Then the Fidget Spinner is trending and spinning.  Whether or not it helps with ADHD is yet to be sure.  They relieve stress.  And they’re fun to fidget with!  All of these make up my Favorites products for the month of May in 2017.

straplessdresshack I love this dress!  It’s the first strapless dress I’ve bought since my wedding gown 15 years ago haha.  But…it’s a tad see-through.  The brilliant gal at Anthropology suggested a mini skirt slip pulled to my chest.  I just so happen to have one.  Ta-da!  Self confident dress now.

Coconut Oil has been the rage for a while now, and I just last week tried it.

  1.  It isn’t oily, it goes on like lotion.
  2. It doesn’t smell like coconuts or the old afro-sheen from when I was growing up.
  3. I’ve heard you can put Coconut Oil in your hair to protect it from chlorine.

Watch the video above to see how smoothly it goes on.  It is hard to keep it solidified in my house though.  I feel like I need to keep it on my counter because it stays cooler there.

For Mother’s Day, my preteen gave me a Popsocket.  Do I feel like the coolest mom now?!  popsocket iphone It gives you a grip while using your phone.  You can text one-handed more easily.  You can even stand it up to watch my LauriePOP videos!

This Cover Girl Crystal Waters blue toned eyeshadow palette is a replacement from the cheap, not-so-bright blue Ulta eyeshadow I’ve been using.  The funny thing is is that I used to use this palette almost ten years ago and recently found it.  They’re bright eye enhancers for the corners or my eyes and for smudging

right along my eyeliner.  In the video, you can see it more clearly.

The Fidget Spinner will most likely be the toy of 2017.  It’s awesome.  We love it because our child can actually afford it and wait for it and be invested in working for something.  NPR and Newsweek put out debates on the effectiveness for combatting ADHD but the jury is still out.  And by jury, I mean teachers and parents.  Could the fidget spinner be distracting to other students or teachers?  They are really cute and can even be built with Legos.

These favorites for May are truly favorites!  Thank you for POPping over to my LauriePOP Channel.  Here are some videos you may have missed:

Favorites From March – I never knew…

Never have I tried the yellow bottle and now this bottle from Gold Bond.  Our family is LOVING this Gold Bond for Diabetics lotion.  The YouTube video will show you how thick it is.

I finally found a concealer that doesn’t crack after hours and feels light as a feather.  You can see my application in the YouTube video above.  I use this angled brush and set it with this very wispy $5 brush and powder by Naked Cosmetics.

Finished in 3 days!  It was a brilliant, intellectual love story that was so well written.

Smelling good and feeling good about the products was a long time coming.  I’m so glad I found this deodorant.  Their correspondence is so clever!

Do you use spray deodorant or a stick?  Gel or solid?  Do you have a natural one you like?
